The day began meeting Peter and his brother at a Brixton hotel where they were getting ready. Peter the self confessed Marvel super fan presented me with the wedding bands for me to photograph. Designed and created by London based Karlin Anderson, Peter’s ring had coloured stones set in the band matching that of the ‘Infinity Stones’ (Thanos would be proud).
Once the groom prep was in the bag it was a short trip to meet Eileen and her family for the bridal prep. The house was rented to house all of Eileen’s Canadian and Scottish family for the busy morning to come. Like a home straight out of Grand Designs it was the perfect setting for the photographs. With Eileen still with her hair and makeup I had time to photograph the rest of the family helping each other get ready. I always say that the morning prep is my favourite part of the day with lots of excitement and emotions all swirling around.
Once Eileen appeared dressed in her amazing 30’s inspired bridal gown from IndieBride London there was just enough time for her bridesmaids to add the finishing touches before we all jumped on the double decker Routemaster waiting outside from Traditional Travel to head to the Mayfair Library for the ceremony.
Following a very intimate ceremony and some large group shots in the park next to the registry office it was off to Wandsworth Common to the Bellevue Restaurant (one of their favourite go to places) which they had hired out for a evening of food, drink, embarrassing speeches (thanks to the best man of course) complete with dancing to the obligatory ‘Come On Eileen’.
Another great London wedding with another great couple.
